This dip in temperature has Chic Deac searching for a cute winter coat. Anthropologie, as usual, has several adorbale options but we particularly are loving the Ascot Swing jacket below. It's chic, timeless and reminds us of our favorite style icon, Jackie O. Pair these with skinny jeans, ballet flats and some chic big sunglasses for the full effect.

Kate & Jackie
International Business Times wants to know if Kate Middleton is the new Jackie. We think there's potential, but we hope William has the sense to be more faithful than JFK. Let's check out the evidence:
The rings seem to be a great starting point as both are anchored by colorful gemstones - not just a traditional clear diamond. Bold, yet still classic.
Lace was the most important ingredient of their wedding look and each chose to highlight the tiniest part of their bodies with a nipped bodice. Plus their veils blew in the wind emphasizing their already unarguable perfection. Sigh.
Both women know the power of a great trench coat.
They also know the strength of the skirt and blazer combo, but we do prefer Jackie's flats to Kate's suede boots.
Kate and Jackie are each aware of the rules of style when it comes to engaging with world leaders. Wear chic, well-fitted, neutral colors and you shall always impress. They've even got the same freaking pose.
Red is a stunning color on most women, and these two certainly know how to wear it.
And both know how to pull of a chic hat!
Jackie O still conquers. If you're a regular reader, you know that Jackie is the ultimate style icon in our book. However, Kate has a very impressive roster of looks for such a young age. We look forward to seeing what she can do to change out the No. 1 spot on our list of style icons.

Dreaming of Spring Break
Wondering what to wear for that cruise or Mexican vaca you've been dreaming of since January? We found a cute selection of bathing suits we think you'll love to wear.

For girly flare, check out this American Eagle ruffle bikini.
From Anthro - a one piece that will emphasize your cute waist and give you an irresistible retro vibe.
And a bikini for the bronze goddess looking to really get a tan. The gold buckle spices up the bandeau top for a very cute look.
What would these looks be without a big ole floppy hat that lets everyone on the beach or ship deck know how fabulous you are? This would be preferably worn with large Jackie O sunglasses to really round out the look.

If Jackie O was a Chic Deac
She would undoubtedly sport gold sequins on this tweed jacket from Kate Spade. Can you say perfection??
Our posting will be slower over the holiday season, and we'll try to post about something that doesn't sparkle later in the week.

First Rule of Blogging
They say the first rule of blogging is shameless self-promotion. We aren't really on that bandwagon - especially since Cup of Jo exists and thus we must promote what she writes about, because she always writes about fabulous things.
Today, she is doing a giveaway and it's a dress that fits perfectly on our site. So visit Cup of Jo and enter to win the dress because we don't have a $300 dress to give away this week and she does.
Also, she loves Jackie O almost as much as Chic Deac. Beneath the giveaway, check out the post on portraits of famous mothers with their children. It's lovely.
And lastly, please check out this blog - "What White Chicks Cherish" has got some pretty funny stuff (like overdressing for college football games) so thank you to the reader who sent it in!
Happy Homecoming, chic ones!

If Jackie O was a Chic Deac
Anthropologie's Learning Curve dress is fabulous. Amazing. Wonderful. It's also $250. We're not in the place to be dropping $250 on a dress, but we thought we'd share in case you are. And if you're not, then take a moment to dream alongside us.
Happy shopping (or dreaming), chic ones!

If Jackie O Were a Chic Deac
This vintage dress is impeccable - and it looks like it came right out of Jackie O's closet. I love the Mary Jane pumps the model is wearing with it. It's on Etsy and it appears to be about a size 4. If that's your size, snatch up this look before it's too late.

If Jackie O Were a Chic Deac (Pt. 2)
The Chic Deac obsession with Jackie O is kind of intense, so please be prepared for the constant oohs and ahhs over her style. The Jewelry Box has decided to recreate her most famous pieces of jewelry (with less expensive materials) in a new line and it has made me so happy to know that this exists.
The first piece is based on an early 19th century French brooch that was passed down through the Bouvier family. Eventually it was made into a necklace, and Jackie had earrings made to match in 1960. Look at this piece here for $149.

Next, we adore this bracelet that JFK gave to Jackie O. This would be perfect with a basic black shift and some heels. It's being sold for $139 here.

Lastly, we want this watch so badly. It's got a classic look, but it's especially perfect for any Wake Forest fan. The tank watch was never well known until Jackie bought one in 1964 and made the style famous, so follow in a great woman's footsteps and get it here for $129.

And of course, Jackie O would have had a pair of these earrings if Wake Forest alum and Etsy seller pendredkeller28 had been making them back then. Win them for free - check out this post to see how!

If Jackie O Were a Chic Deac
I have a feeling that this dress from Nordstrom's is exactly what she would wear. For $82, this dress would last you a long time. It's got a classic shape and the fabric will hold up well. You could wear this to a variety of events, like tailgates, cocktail parties and weddings, etc.

I'd pair it with a pretty pair of wedge sandals, like this pair by Rampage that is available on Endless.com. On sale for $20, these are a great way to dress your feet this summer. The patent leather and small heel make them seem glitzy, while the sandal features will keep your feet cozy. The rose detail adds that something extra special to make your toes stand out from the rest!
