Mustard Tweed Purse

Enjoy this mustard yellow tweed purse with an emphatic bow and pleating. It's the perfect accent to that black fall outfit and would be a lovely accessory for this weekend's cold game against Boston College.

Zara Bowling Bag

Oh, yum, we love this bag. It would just look so much more chic than your average, run-of-the-mill purse or tote bag. From Zara, it's being sold for just a little over $100.

Happy shopping, chic ones!

Women's Wear at the Deacon Shop in Reynolda Village

Chic Deac recently took a trip over to the Deacon Shop in Reynolda Village to see what merchandise might be appealing to our readers. If you haven't been, the shop is quite the experience. We'll be posting over the next few weeks about some of our favorite things we found there, but we wanted to start with some women's wear. (Special sidenote: next week we will have daily posts for the gentlemen readers. We have heard you and will start blogging for you!)

The look (oh so proudly worn by this manikin) has some great transitional items that will carry you through on the warm days and crisp nights of fall. The first item we'll take a look at is that cable cord sweater tied over the neck. It comes in pink and white, with a cute little WF insignia. Here's a closeup:

Secondly, we are really liking the tweed bag next to her. It has all the right elements of a fall purse - dark, neutral colors in a heavier, warmer fabric. This would be perfect for an October or November game.

Happy shopping, chic ones!

Clutches Galore

Happy Monday, Chic Deac readers! We had a wonderful weekend with another football win (although neither of us demonstrated any defensive ability). We've been collecting some clutches on Etsy waiting to do one big post. We love clutches and think these ones are perfect for any Wake Forester.

It may be past Labor Day, but we contend that seersucker accessories are still permissible. We love the shape of the antique frame and there is lining, meaning it should hold up well over time. The seersucker flower and pearl detail cap off the look. Buy it here for $45.

This next one feels like it belongs with a stylish fall outfit while you're walking across some crunching leaves. The felt construction appears to be sturdy, and for only $38, it's a great buy. Check it out here.

Lastly, we love the mustard look of the Italian linen and silk on this clutch. The rose is simply perfect and would be a great compliment to any LBD. Buy it here on Etsy.

Tailgate Outfit #758450945084058

At Chic Deac, we're officially in countdown mode to the first tailgate of the year. In case you were wondering where we stand, it's around 28 Days and 7 hours. In case you were wondering why we post so much about tailgates, it's because we love football season at Wake Forest.

So, are you ready for game day? This outfit will ensure that you are. I know what you're thinking: Again with the ruffles? I can't help it. It's too cute. This is a great dress. The v-neck and ruffles will make you stand out against the crowd of strapless black dresses. Buy it here from Revolve Clothing.

Pair it with this yellow crossbody purse from Macy's and you will be the most stylish fan out there. It's on sale right now, so check it out here.

Remember that we've got a few more days until the drawing for the winner of our custom wine glasses. They are adorable, so check out this post and remember to enter the contest. The winner will be announced on Tuesday!

Deacs at the Beach (Pt. 2)

Victoria's Secret has this adorable black off-the-shoulder dress that would look adorable thrown over your bikini and paired with a great pair of gold sandals we showed you last week. It's on sale for $29.

If you want to dress it up for dinner after your day at the beach, think about getting this purse from ASOS. The bright yellow is cheerful and the wooden frame gives the crossbody bag a unique look. (Sidenote: The current popularity of crossbody bags is proof that what goes around comes around in fashion). ASOS is a UK company, but they ship to the US for reasonable rates. And at $22, this is quite the steal to begin with!
