Summer Scarf

Scarves aren't just for winter. We've been loving some of the colorful scarves we've seen in magazines lately, and went on a search for a Wake Foresty scarf. We ended up finding this great lightweight infinity scarf in a bright pattern - perfect with a tee, shorts and sandals.

Ankle Straps

Ankle straps are coming back in a big way. We particularly love them on chunky heels, like this Sam Edelman pair we found on Pinterest. What do you think? Can you rock this look?

Chic Gift Guide: The Golfer in Your Life

Golf is a big part of Wake Forest culture - helloooo Arnold Palmer, Webb Simpson, Bill Haas, etc.  What should you get the Wake Forest golfer in your life? How about a nice polo from the bookstore with the logo embroidered. Try to get a dry fit shirt - this is preferable for a hot day on the golf course. 

Or maybe they need a visor to keep the sun out of their eyes?

Lastly, they might be interested in a Wake Forest golf bag. It's a pricier purchase than the others, but it could be worth it if they are in need!

Cozy Sweaters

As the weather has gotten a little bit chillier out, we've been thinking about getting some great cozy winter sweaters. We love the black Campana sweater on the left for the sheer comfort factor it exudes. In fact, we think it should only be worn when one has their favorite warm winter beverage in hand (coffee, tea or cocoa). We are dying to have the sweater on the right. The cut keeps the figure trim, but the felt and wool will surely keep you toasty.

Pres Ball Style Guide Vol. 1

Chic ones, we want to be your ultimate one stop shop for President's Ball style. Starting today, we will be posting chic outfit ideas for this event which brings out the best in Wake Forest fashion. The event is on October 14th and we hope to see everyone there rocking their elegant black and gold looks.

What Would They Wear?

What would the ladies of Sex and the City wear if they were a Chic Deac? This question popped into our minds a few weeks ago so we did some looking around and found some looks for each of the ladies. 


Ms. Charlotte York has a classic glam look about her and we thought of her immediately when we saw this 1960s vintage dress on Etsy. With her big Jackie O sunglasses, she'd wear this dress like it was always meant to be worn. You know Charlotte would be rocking her pearls at every tailgate and arrive with baked goods in tow. 

Ms. Miranda Hobbes is always the conservative dresser. She works in a law firm and perhaps had the more masculine style (and personality) in the earlier seasons. However, Pat Fields began to pay her some attention by the end of the series and most certainly when the movies arrived. She loves the belted look and it suits her well, by cinching in the waist and adding a more professional touch to a draped dresses like this one on the left. This Natori dress is perfect for her red hair, fair skin and professional setting.

Ms. Samantha Jones always has a preference for what's short, tight and plunging when it comes to clothing. However, she really does like to color coordinate and pick solids. Her accessories are always the most matchy-matchy out of the crowd, which is funny considering how unplanned her, um, liaisons are. We could definitely see Ms. Jones rocking this dress from Milly.

The grand finale obviously has to be Ms. Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie's style was what made the fashion on this show stand apart from everything else out there. Prior to SATC, we'd seen Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha's looks somewhere else. Carrie was sweet, yet pushed the line just enough. She'd put on this gold dress without question and probably match it with the same red patent heels she has on in the photo on the left. Plus, she'd love to max out her credit card on its $500 price tag.

Show a Little Toe

Thanks to the fabulous ladies over at Ever Lovely, we have growing shoe envy for this pair of peep toes. 

Perhaps we could wear them with this dress with frills from Zara? 

The Perfect Dress for Graduation

Happy Monday, chic ones! It's getting to be that time of year where things really just get too crazy for words. We'll still be posting every day but we may be a little less present due to our busiest exam schedule ever.
