Scarves aren't just for winter. We've been loving some of the colorful scarves we've seen in magazines lately, and went on a search for a Wake Foresty scarf. We ended up finding this great lightweight infinity scarf in a bright pattern - perfect with a tee, shorts and sandals.
We are loving stripes this summer and while stripes have nothing to do with Grease, we just thought this would be a good place to interject some Olivia Newton John and John Travolta duet action to brighten up your Friday.
Thanks for allowing us to indulge in a favorite, but now on to the part you came here for: Cute summer stripes. We love both of these dresses which could be great over a bathing suit at the beach or paired with espadrilles for an evening look. The yellow stripes on the left are from Ann Taylor Loft and it's currently on sale for $45. The chevron look is from Roxy and is only $15. Get it while it's hot, chic ones!
Is there anything more summery than white lace? Jessica Baker, from Who What Wear, wrote up a trend report on white lace and we love how she captures the fabric - from Madonna at the MTV Video Awards (aka Lady Gaga now) to Kate Middleton - she talks about how any girl can rock white lace. Personally, we're a big fan of the French Connection dress featured above!
North Myrtle, here we come! The forecast doesn't say super great things about the weather for this weekend and the few days afterwards (high 70s and thunderstorms, ugh) but we are excited to get some time in at the beach even if we are in a sweatshirt or rain jacket. Just in case we do get a warm moment at the beach, we're hoping we can wear this new J.Crew cover up:
The evenings are looking a little bit chillier than we'd like, but Pirate's Cove gets so sweaty that we won't notice a thing until we're standing in line at Hot Diggity Dog.
If we had a summer house in the Hamptons, this is what we would wear to our fabulous poolside party. Some basic black shorts, gold sandals and a margarita in hand would compliment this shirt perfectly.
This is a great top with a pair of skinny jeans and sandals for a breezy summer evening, but we'd actually love to use it as a beach cover up. Get a colorful cute bikini and a sunny yellow tote and march yourself down to the nearest beach.
