We've finally got our invite for Pinterest, and following in the footsteps of Style of a 20-Something, we'll shortly be sharing our creative boards with you. It's safe to say that this is a bona fide addiction. Anyways, we've found some great pieces from the various people we're following over there and combined them into one chic summer look.

For Dad
Dad is easy to please. He's not high maintenance and anything related to Wake Forest will make him happy (because he went here or just because you go here, either way).
We like this logo tie because it's got the WF logo without being overwhelming - subtle and classy, just like your dad.
If there is any one item that defines the style of a dad - it's got to be a vest. Who wears vests besides Dads? Check out this Cutter & Buck one from the Deacon Shop.
If your Dad is a historian - give him the recently published History of Wake Forest University: Vol. V as a Christmas gift. He'll love to read more about the background on this great institution. Plus, it's written by Provost Emeritus Ed Wilson (yes, the guy who Shorty's named the Mr. Wake Forest burger after) so he's bound to love it! Check it out here.
A simple WF logo belt, like this one, is always a good idea for Dad. He'll love wearing it to games throughout the year.

If Dad is looking for something cool for his office, maybe you should consider getting him a replica Wake Forest football helmet. This will be a conversation piece and another opportunity for him to bring you up to all of his visitors! Check it out here.
Or perhaps you could get him one of these awesome panoramic shots of BB&T field or the Joel. Pick his favorite sport, or if you're feeling generous, get both!

Thursdays (or Friday, oops) at Rebecca & Co.
Oh, chic ones, we have to apologize for our late post. I'm sure you were itching to find out about the latest item on sale at Rebecca & Co. on Reynolda Road. You don't have to wait any longer!
Our pick of the week is from our brand new Michael Stars shipment. It is the off the shoulder top in 14K; the color couldn't be perfect for Chic Deac readers. This top retails for $58, but the Chic Deac discount brings it to $46.40. We have it paired with a pair of Seven jeans, a wide belt (from a new belt shipment) and a pair of our black Kazuri beads.
Happy shopping, chic ones!

For the Man in Your Life
So we've been getting e-mails trickling in over the past few weeks about featuring menswear items. This has dumbfounded us a bit because we were (a) surprised that men read fashion blogs, (b) flattered that they cared about what they wore and (c) not sure what exactly to post about. This entire week will focus on menswear. On Wednesday, our item of the week will be for men and we're asking men to submit their best WFU pictures.

So to start the week off right, we wanted to pick one of our very favorite looks for men. This style is perfect as we're about to enter into some crisper fall days and you guys will need a great transition outfit. The basics are a yellow polo and jeans. It's simple, and it should be a staple in the closet of every Wake Forest male. Pick up the polo at Ralph Lauren and these jeans are from Gap.

Add a Wake Forest belt for an extra dash of school spirit. For $20, you could wear this belt over and over again to WFU sporting events.

This last item is really key to the look. Chic Deac has a theory that every man on the planet looks instantly more attractive if he wears a half-zip pullover. We're not sure what it is about this look that does us in, but ohhh man. Check out this basic black one from J.Crew and then wear it in front of the girl you like. Results are basically guaranteed.

Casual Class Wear
Even though Wake Forest doesn't give everyone the day off for Labor Day, we chose to act as if it did so there was no Monday post. Here's a lovely little outfit to wear to class this week.
Old Navy's camp shirt is a cheap and oh-so-wearable button up. This would be so chic over a bikini while you're laying out by the Crowne Oaks pool this weekend or with the outfit we've paired it with here. Check it out at the Old Navy website for only $20.

These J.Crew cutoff denim shorts are a great item to own - because this summer is evidence that jorts can make a comeback at any point in time. The bermuda length is flattering for multiple different body shapes and more conservative than some of the Daisy Duke styles that are out on the Quad these days. Did we also mention that they are on sale for only $50??

Lastly, this accessory simply makes the outfit. This black and white striped grosgrain belt is simple, but it adds just the right touch to the look. It's by Ralph Lauren and only $20, so get it here!

Enjoy your Tuesday, Chic Deacs and remember to send in your tailgate pictures. The deadline is Thursday!

First Day of Class Look
In honor of tomorrow being the first day of class, we decided to put together a cute look for you. It's time to impress those profs with your smarts and good fashion sense.

The foundation of the outfit is this white dress. From Dillard's it's only $30 and I think well worth your money. There are so many different ways to dress this one up that it can be used to look like many different outfits.
I'd top it with an unbuttoned yellow cardigan, like this one from Nordstrom's.

Finish the look off with a belt around the waist such as this one from DKNY.

Today is your last day to win the earrings. Enter to win by scrolling to the bottom of the blog and clicking "Follow." The winner will be selected tonight and announced tomorrow morning!

Oh, the One Shoulder Silhouette
J.Crew's Poplin Bridget dress makes me swoon just a little bit. This silhouette is figure flattering for everyone. My roommate and I were just discussing our intense dislike of strapless dresses because everyone always fidgets in them. This one-shoulder is the perfect solution for the fidgeting problem. Check it out here.

The best accessory for this dress? Adding a gorgeous metallic braided belt. Look at this one from Bluefly.

Happy Shopping. And remember to friend us on Facebook or send your Chic Deac style tips to chicdeacstyle@gmail.com!

Anthro Tailgate Outfit

Check out this darling sundress from Anthro. It may be $98.00, but think about all the ways you could wear this! It would be beautiful with some cowboy boots at a tailgate or imagine it with a black cardigan for class or church. With the raffia rose black belt also for sale on their site, this would be the quintessential Wake Forest outfit!
