Thursdays (or Friday, oops) at Rebecca & Co.

Oh, chic ones, we have to apologize for our late post. I'm sure you were itching to find out about the latest item on sale at Rebecca & Co. on Reynolda Road. You don't have to wait any longer!

Our pick of the week is from our brand new Michael Stars shipment. It is the off the shoulder top in 14K; the color couldn't be perfect for Chic Deac readers. This top retails for $58, but the Chic Deac discount brings it to $46.40. We have it paired with a pair of Seven jeans, a wide belt (from a new belt shipment) and a pair of our black Kazuri beads.

Happy shopping, chic ones!

Chain Print Dress

We are loving this Milly silk chain print dress. Perhaps with some black tights too? Check it out here, if you've got $400 to throw around.

Zara Bowling Bag

Oh, yum, we love this bag. It would just look so much more chic than your average, run-of-the-mill purse or tote bag. From Zara, it's being sold for just a little over $100.

Mod Cloth Dresses

Have you ever visited modcloth.com?

Founded by high school sweethearts, Eric Koger and Susan Gregg Koger, and built on a foundation of love for vintage and retro clothing, ModCloth.com is an online clothing, accessories, and decor retailer that aims to provide a fun and engaging shopping atmosphere for you, our customer. We do this by interacting with you via social network sites like Twitter and Facebook, requesting your feedback through the ModLife Blog and product reviews, and asking you to vote on potential inventory with the Be the Buyer program, all with the intention of running a fashion business in a democratic style. Supplying you with the opportunities to have your voice heard is what keeps our company fresh, relevant, and growing by leaps and bounds.

They've always got a plethora of gorgeous dresses, but since they're not a big company, there are very limited numbers in stock. Here are some of our favorites from this past week's additions:

The brass chain linked buttons on this dress have just the right amount of masculine, military touch. The wool blend fabric will keep you warm as the weather gets chillier. We like it with brown boots and a cute fall jacket. Plus, it's only $80!

This next one may be our fave. The "Gild-ty Pleasure" dress has a shimmering gold print that is understated, but still sparkly enough for you to stand out in the crowd. It's only $90 and the one-shoulder style will surely be a classic style you can wear for many years to come.

In case you're frolicking abroad in Madrid, the Museo del Prado dress will be perfect for your Spanish expeditions. Just $90 for this gorgeous sheer look.

The seams on this "We've Come So Noir" dress will give you curves in all the right places. The shape of the dress is classic and flattering, but the draped fabric on the left shoulder adds a modern touch. This dress is under $60 at ModCloth!

Style Worth Seizing

We've put together a cute and warm enough look for Seize the Quad this weekend. Start with a basic black long-sleeve tee, like this Moa Moa Scoopneck from Dillard's:

Then pair it with a nice pair of darkwash skinny jeans, like these from Eddie Bauer:

Your neck will be kept warm by this adorable "Get Spotted" scarf from Madewell:

And the finish it off with the item of the week from Rebecca & Co. These boots are 20% off for Chic Deac readers, so take a little drive down Reynolda Road and pick up your pair!

Carpe quad, chic ones.

There's a Chill in the Air

Bundle up with some of these cute sweaters and check back in a little bit later today for our Seize the Quad outfit recommendation.

For the fancier outfit, we like this three quarter sleeve ruffle sweater from Macy's. It's on sale for $25!

Next, we saw this sweater in person at a Kohl's and really liked it. The color isn't too harsh and even though it's chunky, it still has a nice shape. This is also on sale for $35.

Tanger Outlets Discount

In case you haven't heard the excellent news, Tanger Outlets are coming to this part of North Carolina. And by this part we mean 1 hour away. Nonetheless, it's a great stop to make on your way to visit friends at Chapel Hill, the Evil Empire also known in some parts of the world as Duke, or State. Right off of 40, these are very convenient to Wake students considering our former closest good shopping options were Charlotte and Blowing Rock.

These outlets open November 5th and there is currently a contest on Facebook to see if they can get 96,000 fans. I don't know why they didn't just shoot for 100,000. Go big or go home, right?

Anyways, if you "like" them on Facebook, you will receive an exclusive link to buy a $50 gift card to all of their locations for only $25. This is a great opportunity to get some family Christmas gifts (or a New Years Eve outfit for yourself) at a cheaper price.

We liked them, how about you??

These Boots Were Made for Walking ...

Around the Quad on your way to class or even with cute skinny jeans at Seize the Quad. Steve Madden's "Intyce" boots are at Rebecca & Co. on Reynolda Road. For one week, they're 20% off for Chic Deac readers, bringing the final cost down to $114.  Don't miss out on these cute black boots!

Buy This, Not That

We love this Michael Kors gold a-line skirt on the left, but the price is a bit out of our range at $380. This ECI jacquard metallic skirt gives us the same glimmer for a lot less dollar at just $69.

Zack Morris

If there's anything that really sticks out in my mind about Zack Morris (besides his charming, boyish good looks), it's got to be the rolled up sleeves. Check out this Rock & Republic cami that we've paired up with a Charlotte Russe blazer with rolled up sleeves. Throw this on with a pair of skinny jeans and you've got a perfectly chic outfit to wear to class on one of these gorgeous fall days.

Oh, Wow

Someone sent in this snapshot they saw on Facebook from Homecoming. The seal, the WF logo, croakies, and a yellow Ralph Lauren shirt. Who are you, Mr. Wake Forest jacket? And, more importantly, are you single?

We love some school spirit in a man. Also, political affinities aside, we really like that Richard Burr campaigns with black and gold stickers at tailgates.

Thursdays at Rebecca & Co.

It's Thursday ... meaning it's time for another discount at Rebecca & Co. If you haven't stopped by their store yet, you need to. And this dress is the perfect excuse!

Their pick of the week is a fabulous new Fumblin' Foe dress with a detailed sleeve. It retails for $172 but the Chic Deac 20% discount, it is brought down to $137.60. It looks great on it's own with a gold necklace to show your Deacon spirit! You could also put a long sleeve shirt under it and/or tights to carry it into the cooler winter months.

We have received tons of fall clothes in the past month and get continue to get shipments everyday. Come and check it out!

No Freaking Way

Wake Forest pasta. When we're old enough to have an awesome tailgate with non-Busch Light beverages, we will serve Wake Forest pasta salad. And when we're old enough to have kids, our kids will consume Wake Forest macaroni and cheese. It's expensive, but the true Demon Deacon fan would be happy to invest.

Happy carbo-loading, chic ones!

Rain, Rain Go Away

You can still show your love for Mother, So Dear in this yellow anorak jacket. From ABS, you can get it on Bluefly for $150.

Old Gold and Black Swirl Skirt

It's rare that we find something that is actually Old Gold and Black. We find a lot of yellow, a lot of "new" gold (I guess that's what you call it) and a lot of tan. But I feel like we can call the color of this skirt's swirl Old Gold. Try it out with boots and a cute top, because it's under $30 from Forever21.

Check it out, chic ones!

Typewriter Bling

We adore these homemade rings on Etsy. The seller repurposes old typewriter keys to create fun jewelry. They're available as necklaces or rings. Get it with your initial or your sweetheart's for a cute gift.

First Rule of Blogging

They say the first rule of blogging is shameless self-promotion. We aren't really on that bandwagon - especially since Cup of Jo exists and thus we must promote what she writes about, because she always writes about fabulous things.

Today, she is doing a giveaway and it's a dress that fits perfectly on our site. So visit Cup of Jo and enter to win the dress because we don't have a $300 dress to give away this week and she does.

Also, she loves Jackie O almost as much as Chic Deac. Beneath the giveaway, check out the post on portraits of famous mothers with their children. It's lovely

And lastly, please check out this blog - "What White Chicks Cherish" has got some pretty funny stuff (like overdressing for college football games) so thank you to the reader who sent it in!

Happy Homecoming, chic ones!

Thursday's at Rebecca & Co.

It's Thursday -- meaning it's discount time at Rebecca & Co. This "Beyond Vintage" top is 20% off for Chic Deac readers this week.

Also, heads up that there is a 50% off sale this weekend for all of their spring and summer merchandise. Stop by Rebecca's to celebrate Homecoming!

Homecoming Dresses

A few readers asked us for some ideas for homecoming dresses this weekend, and obviously, we're not talking about the kind you wore in high school. Homecoming dresses at Wake come in two forms: the casual wear with boots at the tailgate kind and the wear to the fraternity formal kind. Since our requests weren't very specific, we'll offer a few options.

We really like this Puella dress from Bluefly.com because it's got lots of color and a fun print, but you still get the overall black and gold scheme. The long sleeves will keep you warm in the fall weather, but the ruffled v-neck cut will still let you show some skin.

This Tommy Hilfiger cowl neck dress from Macy's is beautiful. It's a sweater dress, but it's cut well enough so that it doesn't look chunky on the body. Pair it with a belt and boots just like the Macy's stylist did in this picture and you're set for a fun day of tailgating.

Now for the dances that take place after the game, you might want to think about something with sheen like this walnut cocktail dress from Forever21. The low price makes it affordable for a last minute purchase and you won't cry if someone spills a beer on  your dress. This is the kind of dress that needs to be dressed up with the right accessories, so don't forget to add some!

Lastly, we love this "Tea for Two" cocktail dress from Nordstom's. It looks like someone pulled it right out of Blair Waldorf's closet and we're quite happy if we can pull off a night looking like her.

But, obviously, no Blair Waldorf look is complete without a headband. We couldn't forget that, so check out this one on Etsy.

Happy Homecoming, chic ones!

Anthro Sale Alert

This amazing sweater we posted back in the summer (oh the days when Chic Deac was so young) and we've been eying it ever since. The sale price dropped to below $50, but there are limited sizes available. We're sure it's beautiful in black and white too. Check it out here.

Brrr

The leaves haven't even really changed color yet here on campus, yet somehow winter arrived. Okay, maybe we're exaggerating a little bit, but it is really cold outside all of a sudden!

We love these two infinity scarves and think the chunky one would keep us especially cozy on a day like today.

Buy the chunky one or the lighter one here on Etsy.

Online Discounts at Gap, Banana and Old Navy

All of their merchandise is at least 30% off today -- online only. Check it out and send us pictures of your cute finds!

Also, Monkee's is still running this amazing deal from last week.

Dapper Duds Winners

We had a lot of fun entries for the Dapper Duds contest, but it had to be narrowed down to three winners. Here are the lucky three:

Jennifer Johnson submitted this picture just a little bit late for the Date Night Dress for the Southern Frock contest, but we decided to put her in for the ties. Why? Well it looks like she's got the black and gold look down, but her date is in an ugly Carolina blue shirt!

Meaghan Kiernan, a WFU alum from the Class of 2009, submitted a picture of her with her dad and brother.  She has won another black and gold tie with this look. And we love her dress!

Lastly, we love this wedding picture from Justin and Amy Walters. Not only was their wedding day at Wake Forest, but they really went all out with the colors. We love it!

Congrats to the three winners and keep an eye out for our next contest!

Cheap Chic

It's family weekend! You know what that means ... a free and delicious dinner. What to wear though? Have no fear, because Chic Deac, as always, has pulled through. We found a lovely sweater dress from Target for under $30.

The ruffles on this dress make it look much more flattering and it would fit most (if not all) body types beautifully. Chic Deac just had a conversation this week about the wrap dress - its effortless and yet always makes women look their best.

Have a happy Friday and GO DEACS!
